Jobs4 is recruiting a Senior Accountant for its Beverley office in a leading Chartered Accountants firm. You will prepare accounts for various entities, file tax returns, and advise clients while strengthening relationships through proactive business guidance.

The role emphasizes initiative, ownership, and the ability to work under guidance or independently. Knowledge of IRIS, Sage or Excel is beneficial with ongoing study support.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in practice, ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills with lateral thinking.
• Ability to take ownership and act with initiative from start to finish.
• Experience with IRIS, Sage or Excel, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns.
• Advise clients and build relationships beyond year-end accounts, including tax and business advice, and training on accounting software.
• Identify problems and provide solutions with initiative and judgement.
