Reed is recruiting a Senior Accountant in Suffolk to manage a diverse client portfolio with a modern, technology-driven practice. You will prepare management accounts, year-end statutory accounts, VAT and tax computations while leveraging cloud software to deliver insightful client reporting.

You will mentor junior staff and build long-term client relationships, contributing to the firm’s growth and high-quality service ethos in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualification or equivalent by experience
• Experience in UK accountancy practice environment
• Experience preparing management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax returns
• Proficient with cloud accounting systems including Xero, Iris and Dext
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Mentoring and supporting junior accountants

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients with high service levels
• Prepare management accounts and bespoke client reporting
• Produce year-end statutory accounts and supporting working papers
• Prepare and review VAT returns with HMRC where required
• Process and review bookkeeping using cloud-based software
• Prepare corporation and personal tax computations and returns
• Build strong client relationships and act as trusted adviser
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Mentor junior team members
