Job Title: Senior Accountant (ACA or Similar) – Family Office

Location: Weybridge, Surrey

About Us:

We are a dynamic and growing Family Office based in Weybridge, managing a diverse portfolio of investments across various sectors including FMCG, funds, and private equity. We operate with a small, focused team, where each individual’s contribution has a direct impact on our success. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Accountant to join our team and provide crucial financial reporting insights.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Accountant within our Family Office, you will be responsible for the financial reporting and accounting operations across multiple investments. This is a hands-on role that requires a highly skilled individual with strong technical accounting abilities and a deep understanding of both financial reporting and investment structures. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide accurate and timely financial reports, offering insights into the performance of our diverse assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage financial reporting for a variety of investments including FMCG, funds, and private equity.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
• Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and business insights for senior leadership.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting for the various investment entities.
• Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to optimize investment performance.
• Assist with tax reporting and compliance across different entities.
• Liaise with third parties, including fund administrators, auditors, and advisors.

Key Requirements:

• ACA qualified or similar (ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
• Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, ideally within a Family Office or similar investment environment.
• Strong exposure to FMCG, funds, and private equity sectors.
• Demonstrable experience with financial systems and accounting software.
• Excellent understanding of UK accounting standards, tax compliance, and financial regulations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
