Job description

Dundee BK Plus Chartered Certified Accountants is a busy accountancy firm seeking to recruit an Accountant to join our friendly team on a permanent basis. We offer a wide range of services and collaborate across the firm to ensure our clients receive the best advice. You will work with a varied client portfolio, providing accountancy services including annual accounts preparation and corporation tax computations.

If you have at least two years of experience working in practice and possess excellent organisational skills, we would be keen to meet you.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing management and statutory accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies).
2. Drafting Personal and Corporation Tax computations.
3. Liaising with clients via email, phone, and face-to-face to build effective working relationships.
4. Coaching and assisting junior staff members.
5. Reviewing work completed by junior team members.
6. Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation, and personal tax.
7. Managing your workload to meet deadlines.

Requirements for the role

The ideal candidate will be:

1. Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in an accountancy firm.
2. Experience with Sage, CCH, Xero, and other accounting software is an advantage.
3. Competent in preparing sole trader and FRS102 Limited Company accounts.
4. Able to demonstrate a clear commitment to delivering first-class service to clients and colleagues.
5. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
6. Capable of managing your own workload and working independently to meet tight deadlines.
