Job summary

eps.group services in Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior Accountant to own a diverse portfolio, delivering accounts and tax work from start to finish while building strong relationships with owner-managed businesses.

You will work across sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, maintaining autonomy and delivering high-quality service with opportunities for progression in a supportive practice.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified and UK practice experience
• Confident preparing accounts and tax to completion
• Strong knowledge of accounts, tax and VAT
• Excellent communication and a client-first approach
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Handling corporation tax, personal tax and VAT compliance
• Acting as a day-to-day contact for your clients and resolving queries
• Reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and supporting their development
• Spotting opportunities to add value and improve processes
• Managing your workload to deadlines and budgets

Ready to take ownership of a varied portfolio and be a genuine go-to for your clients? We're recruiting a Senior Accountant for a well-established practice in Milton Keynes. This is a role for someone who’s confident running accounts and tax jobs from start to finish, enjoys building relationships with owner-managed businesses, and wants the scope to keep progressing. You’ll work across a mixed client base and have real autonomy in how you manage your work.

What you’ll be doing

• Handling corporation tax, personal tax and VAT compliance
• Acting as a day-to-day contact for your clients and resolving queries

What you’ll bring

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or strong QBE) with solid UK practice experience
• Confident preparing accounts and tax to completion
• Good working knowledge across accounts, tax and VAT
• Strong communication and a client-first approach
• Confident on cloud software Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
