Job summary

AJ Chambers ® is seeking a fully ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients. The role is predominantly remote with weekly client visits across North and West London, offering flexibility and autonomy within a growing independent practice.

You will review accounts, provide accounts and tax advice, build lasting client relationships, and collaborate closely with Partners and the wider team. A full UK driving licence is required for site meetings.

Qualifications

• Fully ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Full UK driving licence; travel to client meetings (10–12 per week).
• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts and tax experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.

Our client is a growing practice looking for an experienced accountant to manage a portfolio of clients and provide a high-quality, hands-on service. The role offers excellent flexibility, with the majority of work carried out remotely, alongside weekly client visits across North and/or West London.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Attend onsite client meetings across North / West London.
• Review accounts and advise clients - Accounts & Tax
• Build strong, long-term client relationships.
• Provide accounting and commercial advice to clients.Work closely with the Partners and wider practice team.

About You

• Fully ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Full UK Drivers licence (you will need to drive to client meetings - 10-12 per week)
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts and tax experience.
• Confident and comfortable working independently.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Organised, proactive and commercially minded.
