Radley Green Ltd in London is seeking a fully qualified accountant to take ownership of your own client portfolio within our growing Accountancy-as-a-Service team. You will be the main contact and trusted advisor for SME, start-up and owner-managed clients, covering bookkeeping reviews to year-end accounts and tax.

This role emphasises reviewing work produced by the team, mentoring junior colleagues, and shaping how services are delivered as the team scales.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified: ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of FRS 102/105, corporation tax, VAT and Self Assessment.
• Confident talking to clients, with a practical, commercial approach to advice.
• Organised enough to handle a busy portfolio and multiple deadlines.
• Happy to share what you know and support the wider team.

Responsabilités

• Review and sign off team work, including PAYE/VAT registrations, payroll and RTI, VAT and CIS returns.
• Review year-end statutory accounts under FRS 105/102 and related corporation tax returns.
• Review Self Assessment tax returns for company directors.
• Prepare more complex or non-standard accounts and returns yourself where needed.
• Manage your own review queue independently, prioritising by deadline and risk across many clients.
• Give clear, constructive feedback to preparers, raising first-time quality.
• Review bookkeeping and bank reconciliations in Xero.
• Handle technical client queries, escalating complex matters to Accounting Manager.
• Managing statutory deadlines so filings go in on time.
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
• Helping build internal guidance and templates, and improving processes, tools and client education.

Are you a qualified accountant who wants your own client portfolio, real ownership and a clear path up as the business grows? This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing business whose Accountancy-as-a-Service team is scaling quickly.

The role

You'll report into the Senior Manager for this growing business and look after your own portfolio of SME, start-up and owner-managed clients. You'll be their main point of contact and trusted advisor, covering everything from bookkeeping review to year-end accounts and tax. You'll also help shape how the team delivers its services as it grows.

This is a predominantly a role that will be reviewing the working papers / accounts prepared by the team - candidates must have review experience and must have worked with high client volumes.

What you'll be doing

• Review and sign off work prepared by team members before submission, including PAYE and VAT registrations, payroll and RTI submissions, VAT returns and CIS returns
• Review year-end statutory accounts prepared under FRS 105, FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 102, together with the related corporation tax returns
• Review Self Assessment tax returns for company directors
• Prepare more complex or non-standard accounts and returns yourself where needed
• Manage your own review queue independently, prioritising by statutory deadline and risk across a high volume of clients
• Give clear, constructive feedback to preparers, helping to raise first-time quality across the team
• Review bookkeeping and bank reconciliations in Xero, making sure client records are accurate, complete and up to date
• Handle technical client queries, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the Accounting Manager
• Managing statutory deadlines so every filing goes in accurately and on time
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior colleagues
• Helping build internal guidance and templates, and improving processes, tools and client education

What you'll bring
