Job summary

Hyered is recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our fast-growth music and entertainment team in a hybrid role with excellent benefits.

The ideal candidate will manage statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio, lead a small team, and contribute to cash flow forecasting and business planning. ACCA qualification is essential, with experience in VAT, management accounts, and familiarity with CCH/QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• ACCA qualification is required.
• Experience with statutory accounts for client portfolios.
• Experience in the music industry is preferred but not essential.
• Experience with VAT returns and management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Managing a large portfolio of prestigious music and entertainment clients.
• Preparation of annual accounts.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Consideration of accounting policy under FRS 102.
• Preparation of draft corporation tax computations.
• Assisting with tax and VAT.
• Managing a team and delegating & reviewing work of junior team members.
• Management accounts.
• Ad hoc projects including Business Plans and Cash Flow Forecasts.

This role is key within the Accounts Production team, offering real career progression and development. Ideally suited to an accounting professional with experience managing statutory accounts for a client portfolio with a passion for all things music and entertainments.

Main responsibilities:

• Managing large portfolio of prestigious music and entertainment clients
• Preparation of annual accounts
• Completing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Consideration of accounting policy under FRS 102
• Preparation of draft corporation tax computations
• Assisting with tax and VAT
• Managing a team and delegating & reviewing work of junior team members
• Management accounts
• Ad hoc projects including Business Plans and Cash Flow Forecasts

The ideal candidate:

• ACCA Qualified
• Experience working in the music industry or with music clients is preferred but not essential
• Experience with management accounts, bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
• Excellent communication and technical skills
• Experience with CCH and QuickBooks will be beneficial
