Job summary

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with an award-winning advisory-focused firm of Chartered Accountants as they continue to grow their team. You’ll review statutory and management accounts, challenge and improve work, and mentor junior colleagues on a day-to-day basis.

The clients range from founders to owner-managed businesses, with a focus on meaningful advisory support. The role offers up to £60,000, a company car or car allowance, a profit share scheme and medical insurance, plus

Qualifications

• Review statutory and management accounts.
• Review self-assessment, corporation tax and partnership tax returns.
• Prepare and review dividend and interest planning calculations.
• Coach and mentor junior team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Support Team Manager with team development.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and overseeing statutory and management accounts.
• Reviewing self-assessment, corporation tax and partnership tax returns.
• Preparing and reviewing dividend and interest planning calculations.
• Managing client relationships and providing clear, professional advice.
• Identifying opportunities to add value across the client portfolio.
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members on a day-to-day basis.
• Supporting the Team Manager with team development.
• Resolving internal and external queries.
• Liaising with auditors and responding to technical accounting queries.
• Reviewing complex group consolidations and statutory reporting.

Job description

Rather than simply managing a larger portfolio, you'll spend meaningful time reviewing, challenging and improving work, stepping into preparation where required and using your experience to help others develop. You'll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and consolidated groups, providing accounts, tax and wider advisory support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and overseeing statutory and management accounts
• Reviewing self-assessment, corporation tax and partnership tax returns
• Preparing and reviewing dividend and interest planning calculations
• Managing client relationships and providing clear, professional advice
• Identifying opportunities to add value across the client portfolio
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members on a day-to-day basis
