Our Company:

Blanco Niño is a rapidly growing, award-winning, premium Mexican food brand known for exceptional quality, traditional cooking methods, and its advocacy and trailblazing of regenerative farming practices.

The business sells a foodservice (B2B) offering across 19 European markets and the Middle East, and a retail (B2B + B2C) offering in 5 European markets. The major focus markets are the UK and Ireland for retail, with significant opportunities for expansion across Europe using the existing distribution network. There is also a small D2C revenue stream via the company website.

Blanco Niño's mission is "To produce Mexican food products that make us proud and accelerate the transition to generative farming in the process."

The business is in a high growth phase, with sales almost doubling year on year. Blanco Niño launched into retail in 2023, making this an exciting time to join due to the multiple growth opportunities.

Position Summary:

This role is pivotal in shaping Blanco Niño's next growth phase by increasing physical availability across the UK and helping the brand become household. You will adopt a proactive approach to grow existing business and secure new opportunities within Wholesale, High Street, Independent, Convenience, Airlines, and Food To Go sectors. This includes leveraging existing formats within Tortilla Chips, developing new formats, and NPD across Ambient and Chilled categories. The role requires UK travel, with a base at our London head office.

The current team comprises a Head of Sales; we are hiring a Grocery NAM and a Head of Food Service. You will report to the Head of Sales and collectively drive ambitious growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management, Strategic Planning, and Execution:

  • Oversee P&L performance for wholesale and convenience accounts, ensuring financially optimized results.
  • Manage and nurture existing national accounts in these sectors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales across multiple channels.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers at major wholesalers and retailers.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans to meet sales targets and increase brand visibility.

Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Own sales forecasts and trade spend, with plans to exceed annual volume, revenue, GP, and GM% targets.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and improve performance.
  • Provide actionable insights with clear financial impact understanding.
  • Achieve and surpass sales KPIs and targets.

Field Sales and Merchandising:

  • Develop and execute a strong field sales and merchandising plan to optimize product placement.
  • Engage store managers, build relationships, and create initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure strategy execution, including NPD.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure excellent service levels and streamlined processes for wholesale and convenience sectors.
