Job summary

Butler Rose North Practice is recruiting a Senior Account Manager to oversee a diverse client portfolio in West Yorkshire. You will lead client meetings, deliver proactive accounting and tax advice, and guide a junior team to ensure service excellence across owner-managed businesses, Ltds, and partnerships.

Hybrid working is available post-induction, with a focus on growth, client relationships, and opportunities to contribute to business development and process improvements.

Qualifications

• ACCA, ICAEW, or CIMA qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
• Cloud accounting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Review statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive accounting, tax, and business advice.
• Lead client meetings and identify opportunities to add value.
• Manage workflow, deadlines, and service delivery across your portfolio.
• Mentor and support junior accountants, providing technical guidance and coaching.
• Assist clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Dext.
• Support practice growth through exceptional client service and business development activities.
