Butler Rose is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager, Client Manager or Senior Accountant to lead a client portfolio in the Greater Manchester area. You will manage accounts preparation and compliance, acting as the main contact for business owners and directors, while mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and relationships
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including statutory accounts and tax
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and manage workflow

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients (sole traders, partnerships, companies)
• Oversee preparation/review of statutory accounts and year-end financial statements
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns
• Oversee management accounts and provide meaningful financial information
• Review VAT returns and related compliance
• Support personal tax and wider accounting matters
• Build relationships with business owners and directors
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate deadlines
• Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities
