Senior Account Manager - BMW Group (Aftersales)

Cognizant Moment: Cognizant Moment is the Retailer Marketing Agency for BMW Group. We work with the BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and BMW Motorrad brands to deliver marketing campaigns, guidance and tools to their network of Retailers/ dealers. We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join the busy Aftersales Retailer Marketing team.

Role Purpose: This hybrid account and project management role involves end-to-end delivery of multiple creative and strategic content projects, maintaining excellent client service levels. You should have strong client management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Client Management:
  • Manage daily client relationships, building trust and providing valued opinions.
  • Regularly liaise with clients (responding to briefs, meetings, reporting, managing milestones and approvals).
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Provide strategic, proactive advice based on experience.
  • Understand the brand and ensure agency output is accurate, compliant, and high-quality.
  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, and technology teams for optimal results.
  • Upload creative assets to the Retailer Marketing Services platform (ENGINE) and manage keyword tagging.
  • Report on dealer engagement and identify improvement opportunities.
  • While not currently managing direct reports, be prepared to do so in the future with proper appraisals and career planning.
  • Project Management:
    • Work with stakeholders to understand and define project scope, ensuring feasibility.
    • Manage project documentation, plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Forecast resource needs and manage them effectively.
    • Create and communicate detailed creative briefs.
    • Motivate internal teams and uphold creative standards.
    • Identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders internally and externally for smooth delivery.
    • Adapt to change and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Monitor project performance and report KPIs regularly.
    • Manage scope changes proactively.

    Your Experience:

    • Proven client management skills and ability to add value.
    • Confidence in questioning and understanding client needs.
    • Experience managing creative work through a studio, including brief-writing and review.
    • Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Problem-solving skills and responsibility-taking.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Calm, pragmatic, with a positive attitude.
    • Ability to facilitate team collaboration.
    • Desirable: experience in automotive, retail, or luxury marketing.
    • Bonus: CRM and data analytics/reporting experience.
