Job summary

Inizio is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Manchester team on a hybrid basis, combining office time with remote working. You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and medical affairs projects for leading pharmaceutical clients.

You’ll coordinate timelines, budgets and resources, build strong client relationships, and work with medical writers, researchers and creatives to deliver high‑quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical communications or healthcare communications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Experience supporting medical affairs and/or commercial communications deliverables.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to take ownership of day-to-day responsibilities and prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple projects from briefing through to delivery, managing timelines, resources and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget.
• Act as a day-to-day client contact, building relationships, providing regular updates and responding to client needs.
• Support a varied mix of projects, including advisory boards, congress activities, expert meetings, scientific slide decks, educational materials, digital projects and commercial communications.
• Support project budgeting, financial tracking, invoicing and forecasting, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Work with medical writers, scientific teams, creatives and other colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, strengthen client relationships and enhance the quality of our work.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Medical Communications team in Manchester, working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and medical affairs projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and client‑focused person who enjoys managing multiple projects, building relationships and delivering high‑quality work in a fast‑paced agency environment. You’ll work with experienced colleagues and global pharmaceutical clients, supporting the delivery of engaging and impactful medical communications programmes.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Account Executive, you’ll meaningfully contribute to the day‑to‑day management and delivery of client projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Project Management: Coordinate multiple projects from briefing through to delivery, managing timelines, resources and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget.


• Client Relationships: Act as a key day‑to‑day client contact, building relationships, providing regular updates and responding to client needs.


• Medical Affairs & Commercial Delivery: Support a varied mix of projects, including advisory boards, congress activities, expert meetings, scientific slide decks, educational materials, digital projects and commercial communications.


• Financial Management: Support project budgeting, financial tracking, invoicing and forecasting, ensuring accurate reporting.


• Team Collaboration: Work with medical writers, scientific teams, creatives and other colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, initiative and organisational skills, alongside experience delivering projects in a medical communications environment

Experience and skills:

• Previous experience within a medical communications agency or a similar healthcare communications environment.


• Project management skills, with experience coordinating multiple projects and competing deadlines.


• Experience supporting medical affairs and/or commercial communications deliverables.


• Client‑facing communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.


• A solutions‑focused approach and the confidence to take ownership of day‑to‑day responsibilities.


• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.


• Collaboration skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams.


• An understanding of project budgets and financial processes.
