Grosvenor Group is seeking a professional to enhance client relationships and spearhead business development within Realty Insurances. The successful candidate will support service excellence, manage client interactions, and contribute to growth initiatives in a hybrid working environment.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Realty Insurances, a highly successful, specialist, independent insurance broking firm in the heart of the West End of London.
This ambitious company is in the envious and unique position of being part of Grosvenor, one of the pre-eminent private international property companies whose activities span urban property, food and agtech, rural estate management and support for philanthropic initiatives.
Realty Insurances, established in 1950, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The company specialises in providing advice and arranging insurance for commercial and residential property owners and developers, rural estates and farms, and private clients. The company places in excess of £40 million in insurance premium per annum into the insurance market and, having grown consistently in recent years, is now recruiting to deliver the next phase in its growth ambitions.
Purpose of Role
Exemplify, maintain and enhance Realty’s and Grosvenor’s brand and reputation with clients, within the insurance industry and generally.
Support the company maintain service excellence and consistently deliver great customer outcomes, and to meet and attempt to outperform its targets.
Actively work in client relationship management, service and retention, broking, claims management and negotiation, and underwriter, risk engineer and loss adjuster relationship management.
Contribute to growth through business development activity, thought leadership and product development.
Participate in change projects relating to the enhancement and improvement of the business.
Be a role model, positively motivate and support the team, and provide informal knowledge sharing and training to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
FCA Function
Understand and comply with the requirements and expectations of the FCA’s individual conduct rules (COCON 2.1 Individual conduct rules - FCA Handbook). Understand and comply with the requirements and expectations of the FCA’s senior manager conduct rules (COCON 2.2 Senior manager conduct rules - FCA Handbook).
Client Service
Within a client service team structure, lead or support service delivery as required. Undertake client facing functions ensuring that the clients receive excellent insurance advice and service, and have an appropriate insurance programme that reflects the risk profile. Complete administration and quality control responsibilities in accordance with compliance and operating policies and procedures. Fulfil consultancy mandates in which a client will pay the company a fee for advice rather than insurance broking. Maintain relationships with loss adjusters, deliver claims service and manage large claims to secure best outcomes for clients. Maintain effective relationships with the underwriting community and negotiating terms with underwriters.
Business Development
Develop further business from existing clients by identifying cross selling opportunities and requesting referrals and introductions. Participate in the response to new business enquiries and opportunities referred to Realty, including taking part in broker tenders. Generate new business opportunities and sales by proactively creating, developing and managing a portfolio of prospects, and maintain pipeline and sales data in the CRM platform. Develop and leverage your own network of contacts with real estate professionals and suppliers and attend real estate industry networking events to promote awareness of Realty. Contribute to the ongoing development of the client value proposition, new product and service development and thought leadership. Participate in marketing initiatives, organising content and materials and procuring and managing events. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitor and industry activity and feedback market intelligence.
Leadership
Demonstrate professional maturity. Collaborate with colleagues in servicing the company’s client portfolio and assisting with technical insurance questions and issue. Adhere to compliance procedures and maintain quality control to ensure that customers receive great outcomes, are treated fairly at all times and remain with Realty in the long term. Maintain learning and development appropriate to the role and achieve the annually required hours of CPD. Participate in special projects to deliver corporate objectives and change relating to the improvement of the business.
