Senior Account Executive, lunch! NORTH | Diversified UK & Europe: Brighton Office, UK
Full-time, permanent role – Brighton Office, UK
Basic salary: £33,000 to £38,000 pa (depending on experience) plus commission
The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for a full-time Senior Account Executive to join the team behind lunch! NORTH:
lunch! NORTH -
the North’s dedicated food-to-go, café & coffee shop event. It’s packed full of everything food-to-go businesses need to take things to the next level: delicious new food and drink, the latest tech and sustainable packaging, a free seminar programme featuring leading and upcoming operators, and unrivalled networking.
As Senior Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue through the sale of exhibition stand space, sponsorship packages and digital advertising for the show. You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, identify new business opportunities and work closely with the Direct Team, marketing, event operations and finance to make sure client needs are met and show objectives are delivered.
At Senior level, you’ll be expected to drive more revenue, close bigger deals and take a lead role in growing the show commercially. If you’re an Account Executive who’s consistently hitting targets and ready for more, this is the step up you’re looking for.
And unlike most sales roles, you’ll see the results of your work in person. When the doors open and the floor fills with food-to-go professionals, it’s a feeling our sales team consistently say makes this job unlike anything else.
About Diversified UK & Europe
We’re a Brighton-based events company, part of the global Diversified Communications group - connecting, educating and strengthening business communities through market-leading trade shows, industry awards, digital products and publications. We organise 20 in-person trade events and 4 industry awards across a range of sectors, creating the kind of valuable business connections that help companies grow. With a team of around 100 people, we’re large enough to offer variety and structure, but small enough that individuals make a real difference.
We’ve won Employer of the Year two years running (2025 and 2026) - not because we tick boxes, but because we genuinely invest in our people. Flexible working, a collaborative culture, and a leadership team that listens are things we’re proud of, not just things we say.
What You’ll Be Doing
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Selling exhibition stand space, sponsorship packages and digital advertising to food-to-go suppliers, brands and operators
- Identifying and securing new business and sponsorship opportunities - proactively sourcing and qualifying leads through calls, email outreach and networking, and building your own pipeline
- Managing and nurturing your own portfolio of existing clients to ensure repeat business, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the show
- Conducting sales calls and virtual meetings with exhibitors and sponsors, and developing sales pitches, proposals and marketing materials
- Hitting (and aiming to exceed!) individual and team revenue targets
- Collaborating with the Direct Team, marketing, operations and finance to ensure exhibitor and sponsor requirements are met seamlessly
- Keeping Salesforce accurate and up to date with pipeline and client information
- Attending the show and other industry trade shows and networking events to represent the brand, supporting clients and helping to deliver a great experience for exhibitors and sponsors - and seeing the direct results of your work
- Contributing to LinkedIn and email campaigns to raise the show’s visibility and generate leads
- Supporting reporting and sales analysis for management
What We’re Looking For
We’re not after a perfect CV - we’re after the right person. You’ll probably be:
- Someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a B2B sales, account management or client-facing role - whether that’s in events, exhibitions, media, publishing, marketing agencies, recruitment or another environment where you’ve had to persuade, negotiate or grow relationships. Sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
- A strong communicator, written and verbal, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver excellent client service
- Confident across multiple channels - phone, email, Teams’ meetings, LinkedIn and in person. You know how to start a conversation and build a relationship wherever your clients are, and you aren't put off by outbound prospecting
- Target-driven and motivated by results - you have a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets, take ownership of your numbers and hold yourself accountable
- Organised and methodical - you’re proficient with CRM systems (such as Salesforce or HubSpot) and Microsoft Office, keep your records up to date, manage your time well and follow through on commitments
- A genuine team player - our sales teams work collaboratively and celebrate each other’s wins
If you’re ambitious and commercially minded, we’re interested; a strong attitude and a willingness to learn will take you further here than a perfect CV.
What’s in It for You
We know you have options, so here’s why people enjoy working here:
- A portfolio with real commercial depth. You’ll sell across exhibition, sponsorship and digital, which means more opportunities, more conversations, and more ways to hit your numbers
- A role with real ownership - you’ll be trusted to manage your own patch, not micromanaged
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. And we close over Christmas and New Year on top of that
- An employer pension contribution of up to 10% - significantly above the statutory minimum and one of the most generous schemes you’ll find at a company of our size
- A discretionary company bonus scheme - when the business does well, everyone shares in that success
- A comprehensive wellbeing package including a cash health plan, EAP, life insurance, critical illness cover, bereavement support, and a contribution towards gym membership or a wellbeing app
- Flexible start and finish times, so you can work around your life
- Hybrid working – Brighton office and working from home on Fridays.
- Cycle to Work scheme and Electric Car Scheme
- Ongoing professional development - in-house training, curated programmes and dedicated self-directed learning time
- A paid volunteering day to give back to a cause that matters to you
- Genuinely family-friendly policies, including enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- A colleague referral scheme - because the best people often know the best people
- Regular social events - from book clubs and game nights to our annual Star Awards and Christmas party
- A two-time Employer of the Year winner (EN Awards 2025 & 2026) - an accolade that reflects how we actually treat our people
Where Could This Lead?
We’re a growing company and we promote from within wherever we can. If you join us as a Senior Account Executive, there’s a clear path forward, towards greater portfolio responsibility, team leadership, or both. Several members of our current sales leadership started in roles exactly like this one.
