Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Senior AC Protection and Control Lead Engineer in Glasgow with hybrid working pattern (3 days in office, 2 days at home). The role covers definition, costing and delivery of AC protection and control solutions for tender and execution projects, with detailed design and manufacturing outsourced to sub-suppliers.

Senior AC Protection and Control Lead Engineer

We are convinced that HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology, solutions for energy transfer

with direct current at high voltages, is a long-term sustainable solution. The technology is used for energy transmission over long distances and to connect electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer, HVDC technology also alleviates electricity quality problems and can contribute to the stabilization of connected power grids. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the only realistic energy transmission alternative.

In this role as Senior AC Protection and Control Lead Engineer at HVDC, you will the technical responsible for definition, costing and delivery of AC Protection and Control solutions in tender work as well as in execution projects. Detailed design and manufacturing will be sourced to sub-suppliers.

Location: Glasgow Office (Preferred) and Birmingham can also be considered

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days office / 2 days home
