SolidCor in Chesterfield is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator – 5-Axis (SCM M100) to lead the machine side of our factory. You will operate, program, and maintain the SCM M100, and support Beamsaw and Edgebander tasks on the production floor.

The role requires precision, strong adherence to H&S standards, and the ability to read technical drawings and production schedules. Join a fast-growing UK manufacturer delivering critical fire door components.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with the SCM M100 5-axis machining centre is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules.
• Beamsaw and Edgebander experience is preferable.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate the SCM M100 5-axis CNC machining centre to produce components to spec.
• Set up, operate and perform routine maintenance to keep the machine running safely.
• Carry out Beamsaw and Edgebander operations as part of the role.
• Read production schedules and technical drawings to meet output targets.
• Perform quality checks and report defects or dimensional issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
