SolidCor in Chesterfield is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator/Setter to lead the machine side of our Chesterfield facility. You will operate, program, and maintain SCM 5-axis CNC machinery, supporting Beamsaw and Edgebander tasks on the wider production floor.

You will work from technical drawings and production schedules, ensuring high-precision output and strict adherence to safety standards. A strong eye for detail and a collaborative, proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules.
• Experience programming CNC machines and adjusting existing programmes.
• Experience with Beamsaw and Edgebander is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set, and programme SCM 5-axis CNC machinery to produce components to spec.
• Own setup, operation, and routine maintenance to keep machinery running efficiently and safely.
• Carry out Beamsaw and Edgebander operation as part of broader production.
• Work from drawings and schedules to meet daily outputs.
• Perform quality checks and report defects or dimensional issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
