Job summary

Turner Lovell in North Scotland (Inverness area) seeks a Site Construction Manager to lead 400kV OHL and substation delivery. The role is site-based, with a 12-month initial contract, £700 per day, and accommodation and travel to site covered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Site Construction Manager or similar construction management role.
• Experience on major transmission projects (OHL, substations) preferred.
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and CDM 2015 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor construction activities across a major 400kV OHL and substation projects
• Represent the project organisation on site and act as a key point of contact for contractors and stakeholders
• Monitor completed works against project KPIs to support payment applications and NEC contract management
• Monitor and record key deliverables including earthworks, civils, substation, overhead line construction and commissioning activities
• Ensure construction activities comply with planning consents, statutory requirements, SHE legislation and project standards
• Monitor contractor performance against programme, resource requirements, quality and safety expectations
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with CDM 2015, ITPs and relevant technical and quality requirements
• Support effective management / reporting of project interfaces, risks, issues and construction activities
