Job summary

Bechtle is seeking a 3rd Line Service Desk Engineer in Northampton to deliver advanced technical support for enterprise clients. You will log, track and resolve incidents with timely updates, working closely with 1st and 2nd line teams and field engineers.

The role emphasises customer service, documentation, and escalation procedures, with on-site visits as required. A hybrid working model applies, with benefits including incentives and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a 3rd line technical support role across core infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, Exchange and Remote Desktop Services.
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, switches, routers) and security basics.
• Experience with virtualisation (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and SAN storage is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line technical support to Bechtle customers and log incidents promptly.
• Maintain high levels of customer service with regular progress updates.
• Escalate incidents to service team leaders when needed and coordinate with 1st/2nd lines.
