Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior 3D Revit Designer to deliver high-quality BIM models and 2D drawings for electrical engineering projects in Glasgow. The role focuses on producing accurate 3D CAD data within a BIM environment and ensuring designs meet stringent industry standards.

The candidate will collaborate with electrical disciplines, liaise with multi-disciplinary teams, and operate within secure, regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' engineering experience preferred.
• Sole UK National.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
• Capable of obtaining relevant National Security Vetting (NSV) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D CAD models using Revit within a BIM environment.
• Generate 2D drawings from 3D models, including layouts, general arrangements, sections and elevations.
• Support projects across Electrical Engineering and Electrical Building Services disciplines.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure design integration.
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with project and industry standards.
• Work effectively within secure and regulated project environments.
• Attend project meetings and travel when required to support project delivery.

Our client has a requirement for a Senior 3D Revit Designer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow.

Role Purpose

To support the delivery of engineering projects through the production of high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings within a BIM environment. The successful candidate will work across electrical engineering disciplines, ensuring designs are produced accurately and efficiently to meet project requirements within a secure and regulated environment.

Job Role Responsibilities

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience producing 3D CAD information within a BIM environment.
• Good understanding of the electrical engineering discipline.
• Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments.
• Relevant engineering qualification(s).
• Minimum 5 years' engineering experience preferred.
• Defence or Nuclear sector experience beneficial but not essential.
• Sole UK National.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
• Capable of obtaining relevant National Security Vetting (NSV) clearance.
