Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior 3D Revit Designer for a contract role in Glasgow. The successful candidate will produce high-quality 3D Revit models and 2D drawings within BIM, supporting electrical disciplines and ensuring designs meet project standards in secure environments.

The role requires Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks proficiency, an engineering qualification, and eligibility for UK security clearance. Candidates must be UK national and resident in the UK for the past 5 years.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience producing 3D CAD information within a BIM environment.
• Good understanding of the electrical engineering discipline.
• Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments.
• Relevant engineering qualification(s).
• Minimum 5 years' engineering experience preferred.
• Defence or Nuclear sector experience beneficial but not essential.
• Sole UK National.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
• Capable of obtaining NSV clearance.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D CAD models using Revit within a BIM environment.
• Generate 2D drawings from 3D models, including layouts, general arrangements, sections and elevations.
• Support projects across Electrical Engineering and Electrical Building Services disciplines.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure design integration.
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with project and industry standards.
• Work effectively within secure and regulated project environments.
• Attend project meetings and travel when required to support project delivery.

The successful candidate will work across electrical engineering disciplines, ensuring designs are produced accurately and efficiently to meet project requirements within a secure and regulated environment.
