Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior 3D Revit Designer to work on a contract basis in Glasgow. The role focuses on producing high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings within BIM for electrical engineering projects, with strict regulatory and security requirements.

You will collaborate with electrical disciplines, ensuring designs meet project standards, and you may travel for delivery support. A minimum of 5 years in engineering and UK residency are preferred, with eligibility for NSV

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Experience producing 3D CAD information within a BIM environment.
• Good understanding of the electrical engineering discipline.
• Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
• Capable of obtaining NSV clearance.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D CAD models using Revit within a BIM environment.
• Generate 2D drawings from 3D models, including layouts, general arrangements, sections and elevations.
• Support projects across Electrical Engineering and Electrical Building Services disciplines.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure design integration.
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with project and industry standards.
• Work effectively within secure and regulated project environments.
• Attend project meetings and travel when required to support project delivery.

To support the delivery of engineering projects through the production of high-quality 3D models and 2D drawings within a BIM environment. The successful candidate will work across electrical engineering disciplines, ensuring designs are produced accurately and efficiently to meet project requirements within a secure and regulated environment.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• Defence or Nuclear sector experience beneficial but not essential.
• Sole UK National.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Resident in the UK for the preceding 5 years.
• Capable of obtaining relevant National Security Vetting (NSV) clearance.
