Job summary

Magnus Search is seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to own and scale a high-potential desk in the industrial and driving sectors. This true 360 role focuses on business development, client strategy, and delivering temporary and permanent recruitment with autonomy.

You will manage end-to-end recruitment, mentor junior consultants, and lead client meetings and site visits to drive revenue and quality. The role is office-based in Bristol (Aztec West, Almondsbury) with occasional client visits;

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years’ experience as a 360 Recruitment Consultant.
• Proven track record of billing success and desk growth.
• Experience within industrial and/or driving recruitment (highly desirable).
• Strong business development skills with the ability to win and retain clients.
• Confident managing the full recruitment lifecycle at a senior level.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Industrial & Driving division. This is a key hire for the business, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of a high-potential desk while playing a pivotal role in driving revenue and mentoring junior team members.

The Role

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will take full responsibility for developing, managing, and scaling your own desk within the industrial and driving sectors. This is a true 360 role with a strong emphasis on business development, client strategy, and delivering high-quality recruitment solutions across both temporary and permanent markets.

You will operate with a high level of autonomy while also contributing to the wider team’s success, supporting best practice and helping to elevate performance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and growth of a high-performing recruitment desk
• Building and managing strategic client relationships within industrial & driving sectors
• Proactively winning new business and expanding existing key accounts
• Taking detailed job briefs and delivering tailored recruitment solutions
• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through to placement and retention
• Overseeing compliance, onboarding, and ongoing candidate management
• Maintaining a strong, high-quality pipeline of candidates across temp and perm markets
• Attending and leading client meetings, site visits, and review sessions
• Monitoring and driving desk performance, including revenue, pipeline, and activity
• Acting as a mentor and role model to junior consultants where appropriateCollaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent service excellence

What We’re Looking For

• 3–7+ years’ experience as a 360 Recruitment Consultant
• Proven track record of billing success and desk growth
• Experience within industrial and/or driving recruitment (highly desirable)
• Strong business development skills with the ability to win and retain clients
• Confident managing the full recruitment lifecycle at a senior level
• Commercially astute with a consultative, solutions-driven approach
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members (desirable)
