Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking an experienced 300t Mobile Crane Operator to join our Nottingham team. You will operate a 300t crane on high-profile lifting projects, ensuring safety and precision with every lift.

You'll bring a CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation, a full UK driving licence and proven experience handling large mobile cranes across demanding sites. Safety, teamwork and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• HGV Class C licence.
• In-date CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation.
• Proven experience operating large mobile cranes.
• Experience relevant to operating a 300t mobile crane.
• Strong understanding of crane operations, duty charts and lifting requirements.
• Knowledge of wind and environmental effects on crane operations.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and stop unsafe operations.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 300t mobile crane safely and efficiently.
• Carry out thorough pre-use and operational checks.
• Set up the crane including outriggers and supporting equipment.
• Check rated capacity systems and crane configuration for each lift.
• Work from duty charts, lift plans and technical documentation.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers and Crane Supervisors.
• Monitor wind and changing environmental conditions and respond appropriately.
• Maintain awareness of crane, load, environment and people around you.
• Stop operations when conditions are unsafe or the lift cannot be completed safely.
• Follow site requirements, road traffic regulations, PPE, and company procedures.
• Complete training on specific crane models and configurations.
• Maintain crane care and complete relevant documentation.
• Represent Ainscough professionally on customer sites.
• Collaborate with the lifting team to deliver safe, efficient projects.
• continually look for ways to improve standards, efficiency and safety.
