Job summary

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking an experienced CPCS Blue Card Mobile Crane Operator to join our Nottingham depot. You’ll operate cranes safely, set up outriggers and work with site teams to deliver high‑quality lifts while prioritising safety.

You’ll bring a valid UK driving licence, HGV Class C, and an in‑date CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation, plus prior mobile crane experience and a professional, customer‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• A strong understanding of safe crane operations is essential.
• In-date CPCS Blue Card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation is required.
• Previous experience operating mobile cranes is essential.
• Knowledge of wind and weather effects on cranes and loads is important.
• The ability to stop an operation if conditions are unsafe.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and professionally on customer sites.
• Set up outriggers correctly and safely.
• Check rated capacity limiter and indicator.
• Conduct pre-use and operational checks.
• Ensure compliance with site rules and road traffic regulations.
• Liaise with Site/Project Managers on arrival on site.
• Read crane duty charts and relevant documentation.
• Maintain safety and high standards of personal safety.
