Job summary

T-Tech in Manchester is seeking an IT Field Engineer to join our service desk team, focusing on 2nd line support and effective issue resolution.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and servers, building strong partnerships with the client's IT team and documenting incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 2nd line IT support role, in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems: hardware, software, networks and servers.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• ITIL, CompTIA or Microsoft certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line technical support and own incident resolution.
• Troubleshoot networks, servers, applications and peripherals escalated from 1st line.
• Build strong relationships with client IT teams to ensure clear communication.
• Document incidents, solutions and best practices; produce regular reports.
• Seek opportunities to improve service delivery and IT environment.
