Medacs Healthcare is seeking experienced CHC Nurse Assessors for Cheshire and Merseyside ICB. The position is fully remote with a mixed pattern of duties including caseload management and assessment-based decisions, working within a Band 6 framework.
You will assess care needs, coordinate packages, and liaise with NHS services, local authorities and care providers to ensure appropriate care and support. Flexible Mon-Fri hours, remote working, and competitive pay accompany the role.
Location: Fully Remote
Contract Type: Locum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Client: Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB)
Essential: Current NMC registration as an RGN, RMN or RNLD, the Right to Work in the UK, and experience in Continuing Healthcare (CHC), community nursing, complex care, mental health, learning disabilities or clinical case management.
We're currently supporting Cheshire and Merseyside ICB in recruiting experienced CHC Nurse Assessors to join its Individual Assessment and Commissioning Team. This role would suit nurses with a background in Continuing Healthcare (CHC), community nursing, mental health, learning disabilities, complex care or clinical case management.
You'll assess care needs, manage a caseload and work with NHS services, local authorities and care providers to help individuals access the right care and support. Hybrid working with approximately one office day per week in Merseyside and full-time Monday to Friday hours make this an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to use their clinical expertise in a more autonomous role.
You're an experienced nurse who enjoys assessment-based work, managing a caseload and working collaboratively with others to support positive outcomes. You'll be confident making informed clinical decisions and communicating with healthcare professionals, service users and families.
At Medacs Healthcare, we've been supporting nurses and healthcare professionals with their careers for more than 35 years. We work with NHS trusts, health boards and healthcare organisations across the UK, helping healthcare professionals find roles that fit their experience, availability and career ambitions.
Our specialist consultants understand the healthcare sector and take the time to get to know you, so we can match you with the right role, not just the next available one.
We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
