Job summary

Gloucestershire SENDIASS Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a proactive Team Manager to lead a SENDIASS team, ensuring high-quality information, advice and support for families and young people with SEND. You will manage case load, provide supervision, and work with education, health, and social care partners to maintain impartial, confidential guidance.

The role requires strong leadership, legal training in SEND matters, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising staff and managing a team.
• Ability to oversee case allocation, monitor progress and provide high-quality advice.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Commitment to impartiality and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day operational management and leadership of the SENDIASS team.
• Oversee workflow, case allocation and timely delivery of information and advice.
• Provide supervision to Case Advisors and support professional development.
• Ensure policy, procedures and statutory requirements are followed.
• Act as first point of contact for operational queries and quality assurance.
