Job summary

We Do Social Work in London is seeking an experienced Statutory Assessment Team Manager to lead a dedicated SEND team. You will oversee statutory assessments, ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014, and drive performance improvements across the service.

This role requires strong leadership, effective supervision of Senior Case Officers, budget awareness, and collaboration with senior stakeholders to shape service development and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing a SEND or children's services team.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, incl. the Children and Families Act 2014.
• Proven performance management, QA and compliance monitoring.
• Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective line management to officers, with regular supervision.
• Ensure statutory assessments are completed within timescales.
• Develop a robust performance management and QA framework.
• Analyse performance data to inform training and service development.
• Report progress, risks and interventions to senior leadership.
• Oversee staffing budget and report financial pressures.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
