Job summary

Just Teachers is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Leicestershire for an enthusiastic SENDCO to lead and develop the school’s SEND provision.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or current SENDCO who is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications

  • QTS required.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete).
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school's SEND provision.
  • Coordinate and review EHCPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies to support pupils with additional needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and implement intervention strategies.
  • Provide guidance on inclusive classroom practice.
  • Ensure statutory SEND requirements are met.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential.

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Just Teachers is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive school in Leicestershire for an enthusiastic SENDCO to lead and develop the school’s SEND provision. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision.
  • Coordinate and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies to support pupils with additional needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching staff on inclusive classroom practice.
  • Ensure statutory SEND requirements are met.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it).
  • Experience working with pupils with a range of SEND needs.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
