Job summary

Kids Planet Great Boughton is seeking a SENDCO Lead to support children with SEND and collaborate with families, staff and external agencies to create tailored support plans. The role promotes an inclusive environment and requires strong safeguarding and Ofsted knowledge.

The successful candidate will hold a Level 3 UK EY qualification, have senior experience, and contribute to ongoing staff training while ensuring high standards of early years care.

Kids Planet Great Boughton is looking for a SENDCO Lead to join our team. The role involves supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), collaborating with families, staff, and external agencies, and promoting an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead support for children with SEND to fully engage in learning and reach potential.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support plans.
• Promote an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued and supported.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualified in a UK‑recognised early years qualification and senior level experience.
• Detailed understanding of Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Experience working in partnership with parents and agencies.
• Ability to demonstrate multi‑agency working and lead staff meetings.
