St. Augustine’s Church of England Primary School in Scaynes Hill, near Haywards Heath, seeks an experienced SENDCo to lead and coordinate provision for pupils with SEND, enabling inclusive, adaptive teaching. You will oversee the graduated approach, manage EHCP processes and annual reviews, and work closely with families and specialist services to secure strong outcomes across the school. Start date: January or April 2027, by agreement.

Formación

• Hold QTS and the mandatory SENCO qualification (NPQ for SENCOs or an accepted predecessor).
• Successful primary teaching experience with SEND support.
• Sound knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, Equality Act duties, graduated approach and adaptive teaching.
• Ability to coordinate SEND records, and liaise with parents and external agencies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day coordination of provision for pupils with SEND.
• Lead high‑quality adaptive teaching and OAIP provision West Sussex.
• Oversee the graduated approach and assess–plan–do–review cycles.
• Coordinate EHCP processes and annual reviews, working with families and specialist services.
• Evaluate interventions and develop practice to ensure every pupil thrives.
