Job summary

The Forum School and Residential Home, part of Cambian Group, is seeking a SENDCo and Designated Teacher to join our team. You will lead the strategic development of SEND policy and ensure day-to-day delivery, guiding staff, parents and external partners to support pupils with SEND.

You will maintain safeguarding responsibilities, oversee EHCP reviews, and work with the headteacher to monitor attainment and secure equality of opportunity for looked-after children in line with the Equality Act

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND policy development and school provision.
• Ability to provide professional guidance to staff, parents and agencies.
• Experience in safeguarding and working with looked-after children.

Responsibilities

• Strategically develop SEND policy and provision in the school.
• Oversee day-to-day SEND policy operation and coordination of support.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and external agencies to support pupils with SEND.
• Fulfil teaching responsibilities as part of the role.
• Be a point of contact within the school and ensure equity for looked-after children.
• Monitor attainment and contribute to the SIP and safeguarding.
