Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with staff to support pupils with SEND academically, socially and emotionally.
• Develop partnership with parents/carers and external agencies for a team around the child approach.
• Assist with transitions of SEND pupils to secondary education where appropriate.

The role would be suited to a professional who is passionate about inclusion and deeply committed to ensuring that all children with SEND are supported to achieve their full potential.

Palmers Cross is an inclusive school who are proud to feature a 30-place Specialist Speech and Language Base, designed to provide exceptional support for pupils with communication needs.

As SENDCo, you will work collaboratively with all staff to ensure that pupils with SEND are fully supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally and given the opportunity to flourish. Central to the role is close partnership working with parents and carers, as well as effective collaboration with external agencies, to provide a team around the child approach. You will also work alongside special schools and support the successful transition of SEND pupils to secondary education where appropriate.
