Job summary

Heronsgate School in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced teacher with a strong SEND background to join our diverse Key Stage 2 provision within the Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL) family.

The successful candidate will lead inclusive practice, collaborate with staff and families, and drive outcomes for pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs. Visits encouraged; contact the school to arrange a tour or discuss how we support professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of 4 years of teaching experience.
  • Hold the national award for SEN Co-ordination, or be working towards it.
  • Have a good understanding of the principles and implementation of inclusion.
  • Be able to evidence consistently good and outstanding classroom practice across the curriculum.
  • Be knowledgeable in supporting the progress of pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and improve outcomes for children with additional needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills to keep inclusion at the heart of the school.
