Job summary

Kids Planet Weybridge is seeking a SENDCO Lead to join our dedicated early years team. You will lead inclusion, support children with SEND, and work with families and external agencies to design tailored plans.

As part of a caring, values-led nursery group, you will access KP Academy training, enjoy great perks, and contribute to a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least Level 3 in a UK-recognised early years qualification.
• Experience at senior level with strong Ofsted knowledge.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS and safeguarding.
• Experience working with children with SEND and partnering with parents.
• Ability to lead staff meetings and multi-agency collaboration.

How you'll make a difference as a SENDCO:

• By taking the lead in assisting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to engage fully in learning and reach their potential.


• Through leading collaboration with families, staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support plans that meet each child's needs.


• By taking responsibility for promoting an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

What a SENDCO needs:

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification and experience of working at a senior level.


• Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted.


• Excellent understanding of EYFS.


• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.


• Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.


• Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.


• Ability to demonstrate multi agency working and experience of leading staff meetings
