Job summary

Barclay Primary School is seeking a fully qualified SENDCo to lead and develop SEND provision across the school, reporting to the Headteacher. This permanent, full-time post requires strong leadership, collaboration with staff and parents, and a commitment to inclusive education for pupils aged 3 to 11.

You will hold the NASENCo or an equivalent SENDCo qualification and work within a supportive, forward-thinking leadership team.

Qualifications

• Must hold NASENCo or an equivalent SENDCo qualification.
• Experience leading SEND provision across a primary setting.
• Ability to build relationships with children, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND provision across the school to high standards.
• Collaborate with teachers and leaders to implement inclusive practice.
• Engage with families to support pupils' educational needs.
• Report to the Headteacher and drive CPD for the SEND team.

Applicants must hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) or an equivalent SENDCo qualification.

You will have the ability to engage with children ranging in age from 3 to 11, supporting their educational needs. We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with children and parents, and who brings a positive, can-do attitude.

You will report directly to the Headteacher and leadership team. We are seeking an organised and committed individual who will lead and develop SEND provision across the school, ensuring it is delivered to the highest standard. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
