Stockport School invites applications for an outstanding SEND – Year Team Leader HLTA. You will lead the Year team Learning Support Assistants under the SENCO, coordinating in-class SEND support within a Year group.
You will maintain weekly contact with the Pastoral Head of Year to review evolving needs, adjust timetables, and strengthen SEND provision across Curriculum and Attainment. DBS clearance required.
Weare seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to the post of SEND – Year Team Leader HLTA.
Thesuccessful candidate will be a dedicated and committed professional who underthe line management of the SENCO, will be responsible for organising,coordinating and leading their assigned Year team Learning Support Assistants,upon timetabled in-class support of students with SEND in a particular Yeargroup.
SEND YearTeam Leaders will be expected to make weekly contact/meet with the PastoralHead of Year to discuss evolving change within the needs of individuals andgroups and plan for how SEND support provision and timetables can adapt tosupport with the address of those changes.
SEND YearTeam Leaders will also be expected to liaise with Heads of CoreCurriculum/Subject departments upon a regular basis to share feedback from theSEND team and to understand how and where the SEND team may be needed to helpsupport with students in those Curriculum/Subject areas over the coming weeks.
In additionto the principle focus of enhancing in-class timetabled support of studentsand of improved collaboration and communication between SEND, Pastoral andAttendance, and Curriculum/Subject areas, SEND Year Team Leaders and their teamwill also provide a range of specific and bespoke interventions for studentsaimed at developing their independence skills.
