Job summary

halow seeks a Year Leader to design and deliver community-based learning sessions on our Building Futures Programme for adults with SEND in Guildford and Woking, Surrey. You will lead person-centred sessions to build confidence, independence and employability.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends. We offer fully paid training and 33 days leave, plus ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• An understanding of learning disabilities.
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
• Experience delivering person centred activities (e.g. education, youth work, events, or support roles).
• Good energy and stamina for active, community-based work.
• Proactive, team-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Age 18+ | Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Freedom to design and deliver person-centred, goal-orientated sessions.
• Support groups of 6-12 learners.
• Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and support.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
• Building meaningful relationships with learners and reviewing tangible progress.
