Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutor/Teacher to deliver Maths, English or Science tutoring in person, online or hybrid formats. This role supports pupils with SEMH and SEND and requires QTS/QTLS and safeguarding awareness.

Candidates with 2+ years of teaching experience, DBS clearance, and references are encouraged to apply. Flexible hours and a self-employed engagement model are available across the UK.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD or PMLD in a trauma-informed approach.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• QTS / QTLS certification required.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work; remote/online roles allowed.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools with flexible tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Contribute to raising education standards for SEND/SEMH, including MLD/SLD/SLD and PMLD.
