Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Halton is seeking an experienced SEND Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 educational support to a learner in Halton. The role focuses on adapting lessons to individual needs and fostering a positive learning environment.

Hours: 5-15 hours per week. Start Date: October 2026. You will deliver personalised tuition, plan sessions around learning needs, monitor progress and report outcomes while building a trusting relationship with the learner and carers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Previous experience supporting learners with SEND.
• Patient, flexible and encouraging approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teaching or tutoring experience desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional child-related references.
