Job summary

A leading educational support company in the UK is seeking a SEND Tutor to provide 1:1 education for students. You will engage with students in their homes or local community, offering holistic tutoring to support their educational and social-emotional needs. The ideal candidate should have experience with young people with Additional Educational Needs and knowledge of safeguarding processes. Flexible hours are available, making this role suitable for various schedules.

The role:

This role will involve providing education on a 1:1 basis to students. Sessions will take place within their home or local community. Hours will be 2-3 hours per day per student. Students will require support in their educational and social-emotional journey. If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.

Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Planning each session of teaching/tutoring/mentoring
  • Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young persons progress
Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
