Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Primary SEND Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition in Maths and English for a primary pupil in Merton, starting September 2026. Pay is £25–£30 per hour.

The successful candidate will have considerable SEND experience, a solid grasp of the primary curriculum, and a patient, nurturing approach, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs. This role involves close collaboration with families, schools and support staff to build confidence,

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND.

TeacherActive is looking for an experienced Primary SEND Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition based in Merton, starting in July.

The successful tutor must have strong experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be confident delivering engaging, tailored lessons in both Maths and English at primary level.

The role will involve:

• Delivering 1:1 tuition sessions in Maths and English

• Supporting a primary-aged pupil with SEND

• Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
