Job summary

Halton Borough Council is seeking innovative, passionate and highly skilled professionals to join our Experts at Hand Team, delivering specialist teaching and advisory support to schools and other settings across Halton.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to strengthen inclusion for children and young people with SEND, coaching staff, modelling best practice and delivering training on cognition, learning, SEMH and communication.

Responsibilities

• Modelling good practice in classrooms to meet diverse needs of all learners.
• Improving learner outcomes through evidence-based pedagogy and curriculum development.
• Advise and coach teachers, leaders on meeting SEND needs in the classroom.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and assessment design.
• Upskill staff in inclusion or resource base provision.
• Deliver training in cognition and learning, SEMH and communication and interaction.
