Rushden Primary Academy is seeking two caring, committed SEND Teaching Assistants to join our growing inclusion team. Working under the SEND Teacher and Inclusion Team, you will support children with a range of needs from EYFS to Year 6, in mainstream classrooms or targeted provisions.
We value flexibility and a proactive approach to matching staff strengths with pupil needs. As an inclusive school, we provide strong professional development and a supportive team culture.
This is a term-time-only role offering 34.5 paid hours per week. The required working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm, with extended hours until 4:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Do you believe every child deserves the chance to thrive?
Do you want a job where no two days are the same? Where the smallest breakthrough can be the biggest achievement of the week? Where your support, encouragement and belief in a child can genuinely change their future?
If so, we would love to hear from you.
Rushden Primary Academy is a securely good school on the journey to becoming great. We are ambitious for our children, our staff and our community, and we are looking for someone who shares that ambition.
We are seeking two caring, committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join our growing inclusion team.
As a fully inclusive school, we are proud of the support we provide for children with additional needs. Our SEND profile is growing, and we are looking to expand our team to ensure every child receives the support, encouragement and opportunities they deserve.
Working under the direction of our SEND Teacher and wider Inclusion Team, you will support children with a range of needs from EYFS to Year 6. Support may take place within mainstream classrooms, through targeted interventions, or as part of one of our enhanced provisions.
Whilst flexibility is important, we recognise that staff have different strengths and interests. Some colleagues naturally thrive working with younger children, whilst others prefer supporting older pupils. Wherever possible, we seek to match staff skills, experience and interests to the needs of our children.
Believes that every child can succeed. Celebrates small steps, knowing they often lead to the biggest achievements. Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. Is calm, resilient and solution-focused. Has a genuine passion for inclusion. Is reflective and committed to learning and improving their practice. Brings energy, positivity and enthusiasm to their work. Works well as part of a team. Previous experience of working with children with SEND would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in candidates who have the right values, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to make a difference.
A strong and supportive SEND and Inclusion Team. A school where inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. Experienced leaders who value and invest in staff. High-quality training and professional development opportunities. A positive staff culture where colleagues genuinely support one another. The opportunity to develop specialist SEND knowledge and skills. The chance to change children's lives every single day.
A role that really matters
Some days will be challenging. Some days will require creativity, flexibility and perseverance. But there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child achieve something they once thought was impossible.
We are looking for someone who sees potential where others see barriers, who believes relationships change lives, and who wants to be part of a team that never gives up on a child.
If you have the passion, commitment and determination to help every child succeed, we would love to hear from you.
Come and join us on our journey from good to great.
