Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd in Thetford is seeking SEND Teaching Assistants for supply roles in Thetford and surrounding areas, starting ASAP. You will support pupils with SEND across a range of settings, helping learning and wellbeing.

Duties include one-to-one and small-group support, assisting teachers, managing behaviour, supporting personal care, and promoting independence. All candidates undergo checks in line with DfE guidance, including Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with SEND (school or care setting).
• Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, or other needs.
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
