Job summary

Keys Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for Broadwood School in Halifax. You will support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours, under teacher guidance, focusing on learning activities and wellbeing.

We value trauma-informed approaches, safe learning environments, and strong teamwork with teaching staff to help pupils achieve their best. DBS checks and safeguarding are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Two years? SEND experience minimum.
• Level 3 TA qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with learning activities under teacher guidance.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Help manage behaviour in line with school policy.
• Encourage pupil engagement and independence in learning tasks.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
• Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment.
