Job summary

Five Education are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND at a school in Lydney, Gloucestershire. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to aid learning, targeting Autism, ADHD, and language needs, while promoting inclusion and safety.

The role requires experience with SEND, a calm, nurturing approach, and strong teamwork and communication skills to help every learner thrive academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND, particularly Autism and ADHD.
• Calm, flexible and nurturing approach to support diverse needs.
• Strong communication and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support aligned with learning needs and EHCP targets.
• Adapt learning materials and approaches for different learning styles.
• Support development of communication, emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement support strategies.
